A bit of an unconventional way to enjoy your apple pie this fall- this Apple Pie Bread is amazing and I promise you will love it. The bread is super moist and filled with delicious apples. My favorite part, however, is the crumb topping which is just perfect. An added bonus of this bread- your kitchen will smell amazing while you bake this! Or in our case, your entire tiny apartment will smell great 🙂
I made this for a fall brunch over the weekend and it received rave reviews. I hope you all love it too!
xoxo, Jenna
You’ll need:
- 1/2 of a cup butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 of a cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 apples, peeled, cut into bite size pieces
- Crumb topping:
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 of a cup flour
- 1/2 of a cup brown sugar
To Make:
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Spray your loaf pan with cooking spray.
Mix together the butter, eggs, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy.
Gradually add in dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Mix on lower speed while gradually adding in. Scrape sides of bowl if needed.
Add apples to batter and stir in by hand. Pour batter into sprayed loaf pan.
Melt the two tablespoons of butter for the crumb topping. Add flour and brown sugar to bowl with melted butter. Using a fork, mix together until crumbs form. Sprinkle the crumbs over the top of the batter in loaf pan.
Bake in oven for 50-55 minutes. Check if done with a toothpick.
Dig in to your warm apple pie bread!
