Sweet meets salty- M&Ms, popcorn and melted white and milk chocolate party together in this delicious, easy recipe!

Over the next month,  there’s lots of good tv coming up and movies being released that I want to catch up on. It’s the perfect time of year, because the bitter cold in Boston makes me want to hibernate! Whether it’s for the Super Bowl, the Grammys, the Oscars or just your Sunday night TV, my Party Popcorn makes whatever you are watching even more fun! And it goes perfectly with your fave glass of red wine 🙂

I’m partial to the red carpets, so can’t wait for the Grammys and Oscars. We’ve been trying to catch up on some of the nominated films before the Oscars- so far we’ve seen Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel and American Sniper. All three were amazing, but in many different ways!

I’m a big fan of the sweet and salty combination and this is a super easy recipe to get the perfect combo in just four ingredients. Another thing I love about this recipe is that you can easily customize it with the color of the M&Ms-maybe Valentine’s colored M&Ms for a Valentine’s day party or Halloween colored M&Ms for a Halloween movie marathon. The possibilities are endless!

Tell me, what are you most looking forward to watching over the upcoming winter TV season? Have you seen any of the Oscar noms yet?

xoxo, Jenna

Party Popcorn- Boston Chic Party-5

You’ll Need:

  • 1 bag of your favorite microwaveable popcorn
  • 3/4 of cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 of a cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 bag of M&Ms

To Make:

Make the popcorn according to package directions and your microwave.

Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread popped popcorn in a single layer on baking sheet. Remove any unpopped kernels you see.

Either in your microwave or over a double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips.

Drizzle the white chocolate as evenly as possible over top of the popcorn.

Pour the M&Ms on top of the popcorn and white chocolate mixture evenly.

Press down gently to help M&Ms stick to melted chocolate.

Repeat process of melting milk chocolate once white chocolate has slightly cooled.

Drizzle melted milk chocolate on top of popcorn.

Allow to harden on baking sheet while chocolate cools.

Once set, gather into a bowl and dig in to your sweet and salty treat!

Yep, I will most definitely be trying this! Um, so I know this isn’t exactly the same (I’m a bit of a domestic disaster!) but have you tried Popcorn Indiana’s Peanut Butter + Chocolate Drizzle Popcorn? It’s drool-inducing!
