Last weekend MJD and I spent a beautiful long weekend in Marco Island! It was amazing to relax on the beach for four days and soak up some sun. Marco Island was beautiful and had both an Island and Florida feel to it, making it the perfect spring beach location. We laid by the pool, laid by the beach, played a few holes of golf and indulging in lots of tropical cocktails. Not much more this girl could want for a weekend getaway with her guy!
This past month I had the awesome opportunity to meet some bloggers that are part of the amazing and supportive Boston Blogger community. I went to my first blogger-hosted event, hosted by Kayte of Mass Musings at December Thieves. It was a great night with both old friends, like my good friend Jessi of Mascara and Medicine, and meeting new friends like Kayte of Mass Musings, Lianna of Salem Style and Ellie of The Not Quite Adult. We decorated our own tote bags, sipped on some Downeast Cider and even played with Kayte’s selfie stick 🙂 I’m looking forward to many more Boston Blogger events in the future!
What I’m reading: Having spent some time away, I was able to put away my MBA program case studies for a few days. While beachside, I read A Spool of Blue Thread. This book told the story of a family through many generations and had me both laughing and crying. If you like the family drama type thing, I would recommend it! Also, since my last Life Lately post, I finished The Girl on The Train which I would also recommend, especially if you are into thriller/Gone Girl type books.

What I’m making: I wrote about my love for Zoodles in this post earlier, so it’s no surprise that I’ve been checking out Inspiralized for dinner inspiration. Her recipe for Romesco Garlic Shrimp with Zoodles was a favorite of mine this month.
My favorite post this month: My favorite post on the blog this month was definitely A Case of Wanderlust. Writing this made me even more excited for our travel plans and trip to Paris! It also inspired me to plan some more weekend trips around Boston! What was your favorite post I shared this month?
What I’m looking forward to for next month: There are so many events that I am excited for in May! Graduating with my MBA is definitely at the top of the list. That can’t come soon enough! I also can’t wait for my sister’s college graduation and our celebratory girls trip with our mom to Hilton Head Island at the end of May. What are you most looking forward to in May?
Happy weekend everyone!
xoxo, Jenna
