There’s no place like home for the holidays! I just got back to Boston after spending the past week at my parent’s home at the beach in New Jersey. It was our first Christmas down the shore. We had so much fun bringing our old traditions to the new place, like the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. But we also added some new activities to the weekend, like a unseasonably warm Christmas Day walk on the beach. Hopefully that will be a tradition we can keep with each year!

Celebrating in this new way proved to me that Dave Matthews is right- because like he said, it turns out not where, but who you’re with that really matters. Home isn’t a certain house, it’s wherever your family is. And there’s nowhere better to be during the holiday season than with your family!

On a lighter note, being home for the holidays also means my closet triples in size, thanks to my mom and my sister! I borrowed the gray boots I am wearing here from my mom to complete my Winter White and Gray look. In the past, I’ve definitely been scared to wear white jeans after Labor Day. But with this cozy sweater in an almost monochromatic look, I think it totally works and I feel winter ready!

    I was in NJ too. I loved the warm weather! I wish I could wear white, but inevitably I get a spot of something on it within minutes!

    I have never rocked white jeans – ever – in my life lol mainly because I haven’t found a likeable pair yet!! I am loving this look though!!

      Thanks Samantha! I love them- wear them a ton in the summer! I really like this pair from J Brand and also have been a fan of J.Crew’s matchstick in white in the past.
