Do you have any items on your clothing “wish list” that have been there for literally years as you look for the perfect one? Well, for the past few years a leather jacket, fur vest and over the knee boots have been on my list. I can’t even tell you how many of each of these I’ve ordered over the last couple falls and winters. It’s kind of embarrassing, but I hadn’t yet found “the one”. Really hoping I’m not the only one that does this..

That was until I tried this leather jacket from BB Dakota. I originally was looking for a black leather jacket, but then each time I tried it one on I really felt it wasn’t me. It just felt a bit too edgy for my style. Once I started looking more for brown leather jackets, I stumbled upon this army green one. The color is perfect for fall and it is such a versatile hue.

I layered the leather with two of my go-to pieces for fall, a chambray top and blanket scarf. Scratch that on chambray- it’s actually one of my faves all year round. But the blanket scarf is amazing this time of year to add a bit of extra warmth when it gets chilly or a pop of color or pattern. My friends at Pink Pineapple Shop sent me this one which I am loving for fall- you can pick up one for yourself  for 15% off with code bostonchic.

So tell me I’m not crazy- is there anything that has been on your shopping wish list for a number of years because you haven’t found the perfect one?

xoxo, Jenna

I love this look on you and the green jacket is perfect! I have two pairs of riding boots but I don’t love them — it’s so hard for me to find a pair I love.

Thanks Kristin! My fave riding boots are Fryes- have you tried those yet? I totally understand though- it can be so frustrating when you actually want to buy something, but just can’t!

Is that jacket the one that sort of zips to the side? My mom sells it in the boutique she works at and I tried it on the other day. It is in Hopkinton…maybe one day we can meet there at lunch and look around 🙂

Kris, sounds like it is the cutest shop! Yes it has a bit of an asymmetrical zipper! Would love to see you soon, xoxo!

Yes!!!! SO pumped for blanket scarf season! Last night the hubby and I were in a restaurant and I was cold (shocking I know ;)) so I literally wrapped myself up in one of my blanket scarves. He loved it 😉 haha!

Loving the layers, Jenna! The perfect leather jacket and black OTK boots were on my wish list until last year and I found boot on killer sale during after Christmas sales 🙂 You look so pretty in this lip color!

This is the perfect fall layered look. I have a thing with blanket scarves, they are seriously so comfortable and always make an outfit look so much chicer! You styled this outfit to perfection.
