Happy Friday Everyone! I don’t know about you, but this week flew by for me. It’s so nice to see the weekend again! This weekend MJD and I are going to pick out our Christmas tree. I’m super excited- decorating the tree represents to me the official kick off of my favorite time of year, the Christmas season!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a bit, you know I have a thing for monograms and glitter. So I was thinking what could be better than bringing two of my favorite things together on our Christmas tree? The result was these super cute and super easy Do-It-Yourself Personalized Glitter Ornaments!

You can personalize these ornaments in any way you want which is part of the beauty of them. Besides us, a few of our friends were also married this year, so I thought it’d be a cute, small gift for our fellow newlywed friends. I also made similar ornaments last year and gave them to my bridesmaids, having written “Bridesmaid” or “Maid of honor” on them.

If you are looking for an easy, cute and sparkly DIY this Christmas, you’ll love these ornaments!

xoxo, Jenna

You’ll Need:

  • Clear glass ball ornaments
  • Beacon Glitter It (Purchased at AC Moore)
  • Fine Glitter
  • Sharpie Paint Pen
  • Newspaper or Towel for work space
  • Ribbon, optional

To Make:

First, set up your work space by laying down newspaper or a towel to catch any excess glitter.

Remove the stopper on the ornament so that ball is able to be poured into.

Next, pour Glitter It into ball ornaments. Swirl Glitter It around to cover the entire inside of the ornament. Wherever Glitter It goes, the glitter will stick.

You will next be ready to pour the glitter into the ornament. Pour glitter carefully into ornament. As you did with Glitter It, swirl around the glitter to cover the entire inside of the ornament. Add additional glitter if you did not originally pour in enough. If you poured in too much, pour out excess glitter if you would like through the top of the ornament.

Select your paint pen of choice and prepare to write whatever you would like to personalize your ornament. Test your paint pen before writing on the ornament to ensure it is writing smoothly. You could also use stencils at this step if you’d like.
