Happy Thursday- just two more days until Valentine’s Day!
I’m super excited to celebrate our first Valentine’s as Mr. & Mrs this weekend! We’ll be sipping on wines during the afternoon at the Boston Wine Expo and dining on some yummy seafood at Row 34 for dinner.
With just a few days left until Valentine’s Day, you may have found yourself without a surprise for your special someone. If you are in Boston, don’t worry- I’ve rounded up for you my favorite spots to get Valentine treats in the city- because you definitely can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day without lots of sugar 🙂 ! Whether it’s for your significant other, roommate, best friend, or even yourself, these spots make some of the yummiest sweet treats that I think are perfect for celebrating.
Flour Bakery‘s Sweetheart Cookies
The iconic Valentine’s Day conversation heart candies get a makeover in Flour‘s delicious sugar cookie version. You can’t go wrong with anything from Flour and these cookies are no exception. Plus, with multiple locations in Boston and one in Cambridge, it should be easy to find a location that’s convenient for you to visit. These cookies come with lots of different sayings, including both nice sayings and naughty sayings (think NSFW sexiness), so you can pick the sayings that are best for your valentine.
Located on beautiful Charles Street, there’s no place better for picking up a super special chocolate Valentine in Boston! There are so many flavors to choose from at Beacon Hill Chocolates, so be sure you give yourself some time if you want to pick your selections. One of my personal favorites is their Champagne Truffle- is there anything better than champagne and chocolate? I think not! Besides having many flavors to choose from, Beacon Hill Chocolate also offers adorable keepsake boxes for your chocolate selection with saying customized for your husband, sister, best girlfriend or parents. A few years ago, my roomie at the time and best college girlfriend surprised me with a box of Beacon Hill Chocolates in the cutest box that said for “My College Chum”. After that, I fell in love with Beacon Hill Chocolates and love incorporating it into my Valentine’s Day celebrations ever since. (Photo via Beacon Hill Chocolates)
You’ve already read about my visit to Blackbird Doughnuts in this post. We seriously love them! I think they’d be the perfect breakfast to surprise your Valentine with on Valentine’s Day morning. Bonus points if you choose a doughnut in festive colors. Unfortunately I think they just changed the menu and the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate isn’t being offered right now. But don’t worry, they have plenty of other delicious flavors both you and your Valentine will love!
How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day? I’d love to hear your plans!
xoxo, Jenna
