Happy weekend everyone! I’m starting a new series on the blog today- Life Lately! I’ll be sharing a Life Lately post every month, as a sneak peek into what’s going on in life outside of my blog posts! Hope you enjoy it! Obviously, life in Boston has been very snowy lately… 🙂 This pic was snapped in the Public Garden a few weeks ago, after I think the first major storm. There’s way more snow there now!
Earlier in February, MJD and I got all dressed up for his company’s annual black tie awards gala at the Fairmont Copley. It was such a fun night celebrating my guy! I used Rent The Runway for my dress. Despite some delivery issues with the snow (it showed up more than a day late and like an hour before the event!), I’m so happy it showed up and I could wear it because I loved this Raoul number. Seriously how cute is the bow in the back?!? It had me thinking about channeling my inner fashion blogger. How would you guys like to see me post more about my style?
Our first Valentine’s Day as Mr. and Mrs. was definitely one I will always remember! We started the day with breakfast in bed- MJD’s favorite of chocolate chip pancakes. We had an awesome time at the Boston Wine Expo which was a really fun way to spend the day. The night ended with an amazing dinner at Row 34– I love oysters and their warm, buttered lobster roll is amazing! Of course it snowed on Valentine’s night making the next day a snow day… typical Boston weekend right now 🙂
I’m really excited for the Oscars this weekend! I love a good red carpet award show session. Do you have any favorite nominees this year? You can check out the full list here. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see as many of the nominated flicks as I wanted, but I really liked the three best picture nominees I did see ( American Sniper, Boyhood and Grand Budapest Hotel). If you need an Oscar-worthy snack for your viewing, check out my Party Popcorn! It’s a perfect popcorn treat for TV and movie watching.

When I’m looking for a new recipe to try, I always rely on Pinterest or some of my favorite blogs. This is really one of the things that inspired me to start my own blog! Gimme Some Oven is one of my favorite blogs to check out. This week I made Ali’s Hummus Crusted Chicken which was delicious! I paired it with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts for a more seasonal side than what is recommended in the recipe, but I’m sure you could pair with whatever your fave veggie is! I’d definitely recommend trying this recipe for a quick and easy weeknight dinner!
xoxo, Jenna
Yes to outfit posts please! Loved Boyhood too : )
Thanks Lizzie and I’ll feature lots of Loft I am sure 😉 Such a good movie and like such a cool concept! xoxo!
Love this series! …and more outfit posts are necessary. Love your style! I’ve been so MIA lately, if I did a “Life Lately” post it would be one sentence: stressed beyond belief working from home 😉
Keep sharing! I love it!
Thanks Sarah for the love 🙂 ! I definitely want to get into outfit posts more! Hopefully soon it won’t be as cold out for taking pics. Have a great weekend, xoxo!
That red dress is gorge! I’ve been wanting to try rent the runway for some upcoming events, glad you had a good experience.

Thanks Danyelle! I loved the dress and would consider renting it again! Delivery was bumpy with the weather up here, but once I had the dress and put it on, I instantly forgot!
