Chunks of Snickers bars and chocolate chips make these cookies sweet, salty, and impossible to resist!

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everyone! I hope you have the luck of the Irish with you all day. I have a feeling my Snickers Chunk-Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe will make this your lucky day!

It’s probably pretty obvious to you by now that I have a serious sweet tooth. I always try to save room for dessert when I go out- it’s my favorite part of the meal! While I’ve re-created a favorite candy bar into cookie form with my Almond Joy Cookies, I hadn’t shared a recipe that used actual candy bars as an ingredient in a cookie. I’ve recently had a thing for Snickers bars with their sweet and salty mix and I knew I wanted to try them in a cookie.

Using a traditional chocolate chip cookie recipe, I added chunks of Snickers bars. The end result was so amazing! I can’t wait for you to try it yourself. Snickers and cookies go together so well- it’s like they are long lost best friends who were just waiting for me to reunite them! So, please don’t keep them separated any longer… happy baking!

I’d love to hear..What is your favorite candy bar?

xoxo, Jenna

You’ll Need:

Recipe makes about two dozen cookies

  • 3/4 of a cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 of a cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 of a cup butter, softened (1 and a 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 full size Snickers bars

To Make:

Add softened butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar to a mixing bowl.

Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, combine the butter and sugars until creamy.

Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the flour and the baking soda in, beating on low speed.

Chop the two Snickers bars into small chunks.

Mix the chocolate chips into the cookie dough.

By hand, mix in half of the Snickers chunks. Place the other half off to the side for later.

Place cookie dough in refrigerator in covered bowl for at least one hour to chill. Dough can remain in fridge for up to three days if necessary.

When ready to bake, pre-heat over to 350 Degrees F and prepare a baking sheet by lining with parchment paper.

Using a cookie scoop or by rounded tablespoon, place mounds of dough on baking sheet.

With the remaining Snickers chunks, lightly press them into the top of the cookie dough mounds. Lightly press down to slightly flatten the dough.

Bake for 8 minutes.

Allow cookies to cool for approximately 10 minutes on baking sheet before moving to cooling rack.

Enjoy your Snickers Chunk-Chocolate Chip Cookies!
