The past month has been super busy with work, school, fun, celebrating MJD’s birthday and weekend travels! The gigantic piles of snow around Boston have finally started to melt. Here’s to hoping spring weather is on it’s way soon, though it was snowing here yesterday so I’m not so sure…
My best friend, Liz and I twinning in our Loft Utility Blouses
Besides our weekend getaway for MJD’s birthday in Portland, I went down to Philadelphia (I grew up in the area) for a weekend with my best girlfriends! We had some bridesmaids duties to prep for my friend, Meghan’s wedding coming up later this year. There’s nothing like the feeling you have with good girlfriends- no matter how far apart you might live or how long it’s been since you’ve all been together, you pick up right where you left off. It’s seriously the best feeling! Shockingly- because our schedules are really hard to align and we live all over the East Coast- our group of eight girlfriends from high school was all in town for the weekend. We had the perfect reunion with girl talk and champagne! Miss all of you girls already (insert kissy emoji face here)!
This past month I’ve been using ClassPass which has been amazing for trying out new-to-me fitness studios in Boston and doing all sorts of classes. If you haven’t heard of ClassPass, it’s an awesome concept- you pay a monthly fee to take unlimited group fitness classes in studios in your city. Only catch: you can only visit a studio three times in one month, but to me, this just keeps me motivated to try new places. With most classes in Boston studios costing around $25, the monthly fee pays for itself in just 4-5 classes. One of the new studios I’ve tried this month is Burn Fitness in the South End. It’s super convenient to our apartment and they have a variety of classes, like spin, yoga, rowing and interval strength training. The studio has gorgeous chandeliers, as seen above- have you ever seen such pretty lighting in a fitness studio?
What I’m watching: This past month was also full of House of Cards. Season three… I’m not even sure what to say right now, partially for fear of spoiling it and partially because it’s just so crazy! MJD and I also just recently finished watching The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst. If you are a fan of Serial like I am, or you just like thrillers, you have to give a try. Have you watched either of these shows?
What I’m reading: For the book club I am in, we are reading The Girl on The Train this month. I’ve heard nothing but awesome things about it, so I’m pumped to read it. Unfortunately other than that I’m not reading too much right now besides Harvard Business Review cases for my MBA program. Luckily, there is a light at the end of the tunnel with less than two months to go until graduation! Any book recommendations for me once school ends?

What I’m making: My good friend, Kristen started her blog,The Clean Eating RD, recently. Kristen is a registered dietitian and had been posting lots of yummy and healthy recipes on her blog. Her recipe for Baked Sweet Potato Fries is really yummy and helps me make one of my fave foods a little bit healthier!
My favorite post this month: I loved sharing my Better Than The Box Yellow Cupcakes with Milk Chocolate Frosting with you this month. It’s a classic birthday dessert that anyone will love! Did you have a favorite post I shared this month?
What’s new with you recently? I’d love to hear what you’ve been doing, watching, reading or cooking!
xoxo, Jenna
Love these posts and love the fact that you and I have the same blouse down to the color. I’m obsessed with Loft Utility blouses – super professional or casual and they wash so well. Your girls weekend looked so fun!

So nice meeting you too Ellie! Would love to hear your thoughts on HOC Season 3. I’m still thinking about it even though we binge-watched it right away!
I love posts like this! I have been sick forever, so cooking has come to a complete halt, as has exercise. I hope some warm weather comes to bring new life into me!
