A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to spend a quick 24 hours in New York City with my sister. When I was planning the trip into town, we were talking about how neither one of us had been to The High Line before and so it was added to our weekend agenda, alongside rooftop cocktails at Loopy Doopy 😉 . The High Line is a park on the West Side of Manhattan, running about 1 and a 1/2 miles long, above the city on a former freight railroad line. It was a perfectly sunny day, so it made for a gorgeous walk taking in the views of the city, Lady Liberty, the river, and some cool art along the way. I loved seeing Kobra’s recreation of the iconic WWII kiss. The contrast of some of the more industrial buildings with the gardens made for some serious eye candy as well. If you haven’t explored the area yourself, add it to the list for your next New York trip- it’s such a unique view of the city!
