I don’t know about you, but the beach is definitely my happy place. Growing up, I was a complete fish and would stay in the water all day at the beach. My mom would have to make me get out for sunscreen applications and lunch, otherwise, I would stay in there all day. Now, my perfect beach day involves reading a good book (my list here!) underneath a big hat, with a cold drink and the occasional dip in the ocean when I get too hot.

Another great thing about beach weekends is the casual and effortless fashion that comes along with it. To me, this Vineyard Vines Embroidered Chambray top is perfect for summer and beach weekends alike. Paired with white shorts or white jeans, it’s a piece that can easily be dressed up or down- whether you are barbequing with family or grabbing drinks at your favorite dockside bar with friends. These white shorts happen to be on heavy rotation for me this summer too. I love how the scalloped detailing add a little something extra. I’m headed to the beach this weekend for a friend’s bachelorette and I have a pretty good feeling both pieces are going to make their way into my bag…
