I can’t believe July has already come and gone- this past month flew by!

This month I went to my first concert of the summer: Billy Joel at Fenway! I took my mom for her birthday and we had the best time singing and dancing. Spending the weekend in Boston with my mom was definitely one of July’s highlights. Another highlight was last weekend’s bachelorette party for one of my high school girlfriends! It was the most beautiful weekend in Cape May and we had the best time wine tasting, beaching, and dancing the night away. I have a feeling my life lately posts are going to look very “wedding” over the next few months! We have a wedding every month for the next 6 starting in September, plus through some bachelorette parties and showers in there too 🙂 Definitely on the wedding circuit right now!

In my last Life Lately post, I talked about my summer to-do list. I’ve checked a few items off my list since then including a visit to the Boston Harbor Islands, going to a new rooftop bar (hello Envoy!) and making root beer floats with Not Your Father’s Root Beer. If you haven’t tried their spiked root beer yet, your summer is really missing out! Things left on the list include lobster rolls from Hook’s and an outdoor yoga class… I’ll keep you posted on my progress on this most important to do list ;).

The Knockoff

What I’m Reading: You can check out some of my summer reading recommendations here. Last week I finished reading The Knockoff -loved it. If you are a fan of The Devil Wears Prada, definitely pick it up at your local bookstore or library or download it to your kindle! You’ve heard mine, now I’d love to hear your reading recommendations to add to my list!

What I’m Making: With the weather being so warm out and our schedules being super busy, I’ve definitely been avoiding the oven. On my list to make though? This summer salad from Domestikated Life. Is there anything better than prosciutto and cantaloupe together?

Blue and White Beach- Boston Chic Party-4

My favorite July post:  I had so much fun taking these beachy photos for my blue and white casual look and the look is very July. But I think making and enjoying my recipe for Spiked Blackberry Lemonade was one of my favorites since I got to make it and drink it with my mom! What was your favorite post this month?

What I’m looking forward to in August: Two bachelorettes, including one for my bride-to-be bestie! Heading back to Fenway for Zac Brown Band’s show and closing up the month at the Kenny Chesney concert. Add in lots of planning for our Paris trip in September which is coming up so fast! What are you looking forward to most about August?

Hope you are having an amazing summer!

xoxo, Jenna

That flag picture is gorgeous! Also, what day are you going to Zac Brown?! We’re going on the 9th! Maybe we’ll see you there!

One of the best things about Boston summers is eating a lobster roll! My favorite is when they’re served with fries and coleslaw. Wash it down with a local microbrew, and it’s a perfect meal!

I agree- lobster rolls are the best! I need to have a few more before summer wraps up 🙂
