“Perfect song on the radio, sing along cause it’s one we know, It’s a smile, It’s a kiss, It’s a sip of wine, It’s summertime, Sweet Summertime”
We’re getting ready to head to the Kenny Chesney concert this afternoon. Going to the Kenny concert has been an end of summer tradition for us- it consistently is towards the end of August making it the perfect cap to summer. I can’t help but think back to how much fun this summer has been! August was filled with beach time, gorgeous nights on the golf course and celebrating some bachelorettes.
Last weekend, I had the best time celebrating my best friend Meghan in Avalon, NJ for a very “nauti” bachelorette weekend. I’ve gotten a lot of comments on our party shirts, which you can find here if you like them. The best part about the weekend was how much fun Meg had! I’m so excited to be part of her special day in November and all the fun that comes along with being a bridesmaid :)!
What I’m watching: Summertime TV isn’t the best, let’s be honest. We did recently catch up a new-to-us Nextflix series, Bloodline. If you like suspense or family dramas, I have a feeling you will love Bloodline. Have you seen the show- what did you think?
What I’m reading: One of my beach reads this month was Herman Koch’s Summer House With Swimming Pool. It caught my attention when looking for a new book to read as I liked Koch’s book The Dinner. This one was similar- interesting family dynamics and a little bit of suspense.
What I’m cooking: The past few weeks MJD and I have been trying to get back into the swing of cooking dinner at home more regularly. We’ve gotten a few deliveries from Hello Fresh and really liked the meals. I love that they give me new fresh ideas of what to cook pushing me to make something I wouldn’t normally make. The tuna tartare tacos we had this week were amazing! Want to try Hello Fresh for yourself? Use code FJDKP5 to get $40 off your first box.
What I’m most looking forward to in September: PARIS! MJD and I head to Paris in less than a week people! I cannot wait. Do you have any recommendations of places we must see, things we must do or where we must eat? Let me know in the comments! What are you looking forward to in the next few weeks?
