September was full of celebrations- our one year wedding anniversary, my birthday (29- ah! #old), bridal showers, and weddings! Typically I love September because it’s the first month everyone is back in town after a summer of weekends away, but this year, we were travelling every weekend. I wouldn’t have had it any other way though!

Paris was the perfect place to celebrate our one year anniversary (catch up on photos from our trip here and here) and I spent my birthday with my oldest and best girlfriends shopping, enjoying a sushi dinner and topping the day off with fro-yo!

This weekend is our first one in Boston this month and I’m so excited. We kicked things off last night with dinner at our favorite pizza spot, Picco with my sister and her best friend. Saturday night we are headed to see Book of Mormon, playing at The Colonial Theatre. I’ve been wanting to see it for so long and can’t wait to go! MJD got me the tickets for our one year “paper” anniversary and it was the best surprise. Other than that, I feel like there definitely will be some sort of brunch in the works for this weekend and I am planning on baking/eating some pumpkin treats as well!

How was your September? And what are you doing to celebrate the last weekend of the month?

Life Lately Volume 8

What I’m listening to: If you loved Taylor’s 1989 as much as me, you have to check out Ryan Adam’s cover of the entire album. I’m especially loving his take on Shake It Off and Style.

What I’m reading: I’m just about finished reading All The Light We Cannot See. I am loving the book and almost don’t want it to end. It’s such a great story. Have you read All The Light We Cannot See?

What I’m making: I haven’t been the best about testing things out in the kitchen this month (sorry guys!), but I’m looking forward to making up some of my favorite recipes from last fall soon, like my pumpkin french toast bake, butternut squash soup and this sweet potato, apple and cranberry bake (such a good side!)

What I’m loving: We’re working on making some decorating adjustments to our apartment to keep things fresh. We recently got this quilt from West Elm and it was the perfect touch to make our bedroom feel brand new. Now to find throw pillows to go with it…

What I’m looking forward to in October: Pumpkin spice lattes (I’ve been resisting so far), candy corn, apple and pumpkin everything, a friend’s wedding, breaking out my favorite boots. What are you looking forward to in October?

Have a great weekend everyone!

xoxo, Jenna

Ditto on the Ryan Adams cover album! I have been trying to resist the PSLs as well 🙂

I love new touches to make a room feel new. We took advantage of end-of-summer sales for a new, beachy duvet that will help brighten the winter.

Ooh.. how do you like the book, ‘all the light …’ I’ve seen it on bookshelves and it seems really intriguing- I love historical fiction so I think it sounds right up my ally. Did you enjoy it?
