This green smoothie is packed with banana, spinach and MilkWise’s reduced sugar vanilla milk beverage for a delicious and healthy way to start the day.
Happy Monday! I don’t know about you, but just about every Monday I start the day and week off saying “I’m going to eat healthier this week”. I stay strong for a few days, but by the time, let’s say Thursday afternoon rolls around, I’m ready for French fries.
When you kick off the week trying to eat healthy, you have to take a look at your first meal of the day- breakfast. My favorite breakfast that is both good for you and tastes good is a green smoothie. I have to thank my best friend, Liz, for introducing me to a variation of this recipe several years ago. It’s been a weekday breakfast staple for me since then and I absolutely love the way it tastes and makes me feel.
While I’ve been making this smoothie with some milk alternatives, I was very excited to try MilkWise’s Reduced Sugar Vanilla Milk Beverage in my regular smoothie. I was not disappointed! The subtle vanilla flavor plays perfectly off the flavors from the banana, masking the spinach so you only taste sweetness. MilkWise provides more calcium than the milk alternative I had been using, so it’s an easy decision to make the transition to their milk beverage in my smoothie.
If you’re looking for a healthy breakfast that you won’t dread eating, give my green smoothie recipe with MilkWise a try! I have a feeling it will become a breakfast staple of your own.
Your turn…What is your favorite healthy weekday morning breakfast?
xoxo, Jenna

Oooo Lizzie, love the idea!!
I do the same thing every Monday! My current breakfast obsession is overnight oat bran with chia seeds, cinnamon, and peaches we picked last week.
