With the holiday party season upon us, I know many of us are spending our time planning our party dresses and stocking up on them. But there are lots of Christmas events that are more casual, like a holiday brunch with friends, Christmas shopping with your guy or a visit to one of Boston’s holiday markets.

Today’s outfit is one I think you could easily recreate from your own closet when you need something holiday casual.  The pops of red from the boots, purse and my favorite red lipstick instantly make this black and white look festive.I wore this outfit for one of those casual holiday days I talked about above- brunching and Christmas shopping with MJD, followed by picking out our tree and then grabbing a few drinks with friends in the afternoon.

When I was getting dressed that day, I noticed that I may have a little bit of a black and white stripe addiction problem . I try to keep my closet color coordinated to keep things organized and there were more than a few black and white striped tops. I’m going with the theory that they are just so versatile that I need more than one (or two… or three…).

It’s your turn to confess… What’s something in your closet that you have multiples of, like me with black and white striped tops?

xoxo, Jenna

Love this outfit. Very chic yet cas…. Would you wear the boots if it wasn’t raining? (I don’t have them, but I have Beanboots and am amazed at how these are now a fashion trend and Bean can’t keep up w/ the orders. Who knew I could be fashionable when I was simply prepping for NE snow!
Re: Stripped black tops – I have that issue in Navy – though I think – hey I wear and buy what I like. 😉

I do wear them when it’s not raining, mainly because I love the pop of color! Big fan of red here as you know 🙂 The Bean boot phenomenon is crazy! You are lucky to have gotten them in early- I tried ordering some for the hubby and they are back ordered until March 🙂 xoxo!

You do look good in red and they do look cute. I’d thought that they may be uncomfortable to wear – again I don’t have a pair to say this from a personal perspective.

Re: the boots – I bought them 10 years ago ha ha – who knew “I’d” be a trend setter! They were my 2nd pair as I’d really wanted the dark brown. I think I went at midnight w/ a friend who lives near Freeport!

Thanks girl! I’m happy to know I’m not the only person who keeps buying the same type of item over and over! 🙂
