Dress: Loft Coat: J.Crew Tights: Spanx (the best tights EVER!) Shoes: Christian Louboutin Earrings: BaubleBar Lipstick: Nars in Cruella

This past weekend we started a new Christmas tradition. A few months ago, my sister-in-law mentioned the idea of doing something together to celebrate the holidays instead of buying each other a bunch of gifts. I instantly loved the idea!

On Friday night, MJD and I, my father and mother-in-law and sister and brother-in-law headed to the Holiday Pops show at Symphony Hall. It was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and we closed the showing singing our Christmas Carols loud and proud.

I wore this dress for our first annual Christmas outing and I’m obsessed! While green is quite obviously a traditional holiday color, I gravitate towards red much more frequently. So, I was happy to add something in a different hue to my holiday outfit repertoire. The long sleeves make it perfect for chillier December weather (though it’s been freakishly warm in Boston and I’m not complaining). These earrings have also been on repeat this holiday party season and I know I’ll wear them well into 2016. Loft and BaubleBar are two of my favorite places to shop, so no surprise that I’ll be rocking this outfit a few more times before the 25th… 🙂

If you live in Boston and haven’t been to see The Pops’ holiday show, you are definitely missing out! There are still some tickets available for the 2015 season and it’d be the perfect way to kick off the week before Christmas. Our night out at The Pops was such a great success that we already started talking about next year. My sister-in-law and I are voting for Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker to switch things up;)

Your turn- what are your holiday traditions? Do you give tangible gifts or experiences to your family during the holidays? I’d love to hear!

xoxo, Jenna

I really wanted to get to the Pops this year but ran out of time! My husband and I give each other the gift of travel; we plan a trip together instead of getting gifts. And we spend a lot of time just hanging out with the tree and a fire lit and Christmas music to get into the holiday spirit.
