Boston Buzz: Assembly Row

Looking for someplace to finish your Christmas shopping outside of the crowds of the city? Or planning how you are going to spend the holiday break with family and friends from out of town?

Assembly Row has you covered!

Located in Somerville along the Mystic River, Assembly Row is home to Greater Boston’s best outlet shopping, delicious restaurants and entertainment for everyone. With over 30 brand outlets, like Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, J.Crew, Loft and Nike, it’d be easy to find any last minute holiday gifts at Assembly Row. Stores are open from 9 am until 9 pm this week which gives plenty of time in your day for gift shopping. Post-Christmas sales at Assembly Row are also bound to be fantastic- I have my eye on some stuff at J.Crew 😉

Besides shopping, MJD and I love going to Assembly Row for dinner-and-a movie dates. My fave is Papagayo for some yummy Mexican food, including delish margaritas and fresh guacamole followed by a movie at AMC Assembly Row. If you have time off for the holiday, catching one of the new Christmas weekend movies will be easy and fun at Assembly Row. You can reserve your seats at the theatre online ahead of time so you don’t have to fight the crowds for a seat. The theatre also serves beer, wine and cocktails at the in-theatre bar, making it a bit more fun than your average movie experience. I’m hoping to see Joy and The Big Short this holiday season.

Assembly Row

Since opening in May of 2014, Assembly Row has become a hot destination in the Greater Boston area. It’s only 7 minutes away from the city, making it easily accessible for those of us who live in town. Take a trip to Assembly Row for yourself to experience one of  Boston Globe’s “Game Changers” in 2015.

Your turn: are you still finishing your Christmas shopping or are you already thinking about post-holiday sales? Will you be seeing any movies over the holiday weekend?

xoxo, Jenna

Love the movie theatre there! Any movie theatre where I can get a glass of wine with my popcorn is a 10 in my book 🙂

I love to do all of my shopping online, and it’s done! No crowds or parking hassles = so much more enjoyable!

I’m also partial to shopping online 🙂 But Assembly Row is fun for a date night or shopping day with girlfriends too!

Thanks for this – I’ve never even heard of it. Guess I’m going to have to get right on this after the holidays.
    Have a Merry Jenna!
