We had just about the furthest thing from a White Christmas, unless of course, you count the sand! The 60+ degree weather in New Jersey was a serious treat and called for walks on the beach and a few runs along the water. It was awesome to smell the ocean- something that is definitely lacking in the city.

This outfit would be what I call my basic weekend attire- a cable knit sweater, maybe a layer underneath, jeans and boots. I’ve always loved a cable knit sweater. Cable knit sweaters and oxfords or polos were basically my uniform freshman year of college. Since I had worn a uniform all throughout high school, it was a big change having to think about what I wore to class each day. I had cable knit sweaters from J.Crew and Ralph Lauren in just about every color- which made things easy when it came time to get dressed. While I like to think my sweater game has improved over the years, the preppy, New England style cable knit sweater will always be a favorite of mine.

During the month of January, I’m challenging myself to shop from my own closet and not buy any new clothes the entire month (more on that tomorrow!). Statement jewelry like this House of Harlow necklace via Rocksbox makes familiar outfits feel and look fresh. By adding a different necklace, earring or bracelet stack and you can have a completely new look! If you want to try Rocksbox for yourself, you can use code bostonchicpartyxoxo for your first month free. I have a feeling you’ll love it 🙂

Your turn… do you have a go-to weekend outfit?

xoxo, Jenna

I love this look! My weekend look is similar when I go out and about. If am home, it’s a cozy fleece and leggings.
