So I’m doing something a bit crazy (well, at least for me)- for this entire month, I won’t be doing ANY clothes shopping! That means no weekend trips to my fave stores on Newbury, no late night online shopping. I’m shopping only from my closet this month. And because things are definitely better with friends, I’m teaming up with some of my blogging friends, Maggie, Whitney, Kait and Danielle for moral support to get through this month without one of our favorite hobbies 😉 together.
Each Friday in January, I’ll be rounding up my outfits from the week and sharing my tips for styling from your own closet at the end of each post.

My tips on styling your closet from week one:
- Make a warmer weather outfit ready for the cold by switching out for a warmer top or pants for a similar, but new look. Example: my Monday outfit which is practically the same as my Blush & Plum post with the exception of changing out the silky tunic for a sweater in the same hue.
- Get inspiration from Pinterest: I was checking out Pinterest in prep for this month and found a pin from Ann Taylor with a dress I literally owned. It reminded me that I had the dress and I styled this look after the pin. Check out my board for more inspiration 🙂
- Adding different accessories can change a whole look (so can makeup!). Example: Tuesday’s outfit which with the addition of a belt and brown boots looked a lot different from the first time I wore this sweater vest. Makeup can also change a look, like my look from our first wedding of 2016 on Saturday. I was super proud of myself for wearing this dress again when normally I’m a “one event and done” kind of girl.
Until next week, friends…
xoxo, Jenna

Yes please! Been too long! You can raid any time 🙂
Great job! I love the addition of a belt to that LOFT vest we both have! I may have to borrow that idea for tonight’s double date!

Thanks Ash! Let me know if you end up wearing the belt- I love that vest so am always looking for new ways to wear it 🙂
All great outfits. I did a 3-month shopping from my closet challenge last year. I lasted about 2 months. I should have opted for one month, it’s more achievable. Nice job!

2 months- you are awesome, girl! I think I can make one month maximum 😉
I hear you. It wasn’t easy. By the 6th week, I was twitching. Good luck! 😊
Love the leopard top in your first look! So cute.

Thanks Kristen 🙂 Going well so far, one week in!
such a fun idea!! I never think I do a lot of shopping, that is, until my fiancé kindly reminds me of everything he sees me bring home 😉 However, with the upcoming wedding, I am trying to shop WAY less 🙂 Adorable outfits!
