Getting My Monday Glow On

Monday-Glow

via Collective Passions

If only I had a dollar for every time I’ve said the words “diet starts on Monday”! Trust me, I’d have quite a few dollars as this seems to be a bit of a manta over my weekends.  So, when I heard about the Monday Glow Plan from Annie & Cat of Collective Passions, I knew this was a plan I could get behind!

Monday Glow Guide- Boston Chic Party-1

You are probably wondering- what is the Monday Glow Plan?  Well it started with sisters, Annie & Cat, and their desire to start their weeks off strong, to reset their bodies, have more energy and nourish themselves while keeping things yummy. The Monday Glow Plan is a one-day plan to help do just that and to get yourself on track for a great week ahead. In an e-book format, it’s filled with delicious recipes and recommended healthy products that can be used on Mondays or throughout the week whenever you’d like! The Monday Glow Plan also offers a community through a Facebook community for all the plan participants.

I knew I was going to really enjoy the Monday Glow Plan as soon as I saw the meal plan- it included so many things I already love, like eggs, quinoa and avocado. Yum! Plus it introduced me to a few new things, like kombucha- I honestly don’t know how I’d never tried it before! Another thing new to me with trying the Monday Glow Plan was the journal provided in the ebook. Though I know it is often recommended for keeping healthy eating on track, I’ve never had a food journal before. I like the idea and I can see how it would definitely keep you accountable throughout the day.

Enjoying the Monday Glow Plan’s Sunset Smoothie post-workout

So, how did I feel after the Monday Glow Plan? In one word, great! The plan was perfect for me to reset after an indulgent weekend and helped me kick my sweet tooth cravings for the rest of the week. I had a similar (though slightly less intense) feeling of detox and lightness after the Monday Glow Plan that I did after doing a three-day juice cleanse (read about that here). To me, that shows it’s something that really works, but is also a more sustainable way to detox than juice cleansing every week.  It’s something I’d definitely repeat for future Mondays (actually following the plan again today) to start the week off on a good foot. In addition to following the plan on Mondays, I’ll definitely incorporate the recipes into my breakfast and lunch routine throughout the week. Then, when I do go for that dessert or a doughnut at brunch on the weekends, I won’t feel so guilty. It’s all about balance, right?

Are you guilty of saying you’ll eat healthier come Monday like me?

xoxo, Jenna

jenna–great post! annie is such a girlboss. isn’t kombucha interesting? there are places in austin that sell it on tap, but that’s austin for ya. i love food and to me eating healthy isn’t dreadful, i love it. i think it’s about finding the ingredients that you like (for me i love avocados!), and incorporating them into meals! but it’s also about staying sane as well. balance is always essential. thanks for sharing and #glowon! xoxo,

Janna, couldn’t agree more! Balance is definitely essential. Avocado is a definite fave and so is kale for me 🙂 ! I haven’t had it on tap before, but my Whole Foods sells it that way too. I’ll have to try it soon to see if it is different.
And Annie is amazing!!! Thanks for stopping by, girl 🙂
