In honor of Oscars week, wanted to share a bit more glamorous look today! If you are following me on Instagram (what are you waiting for?), you had a preview of this dress a few weeks ago when I posted a pic of MJD and I at his awards gala for work.

Like most girls, I love an excuse to dress up! Seeing the words black tie on an invite gives me butterflies in my stomach- in an excited way. Picking out dresses for this kind of event is the most fun kind of shopping and it’s not uncommon for me to spend hours browsing online at my favorite stores, on Rent The Runway or at some of my favorite local boutiques, like Best Dressed. All choices are typically approved after sending lots of pics to my mom, sister and best friends, of course :).

I ordered this dress from Rent The Runway a few days after the Golden Globes when I fell in love with Jenna Dewan Tatum’s blue gown. I’d been eyeing it for a few weeks before(naturally) , but once I saw how she rocked it, I was totally sold on blue! I loved wearing this color and accessorizing with silver worked perfectly to complete my black-tie look. Since the Golden Globes, there were a few navy dresses at the Grammys ( like Selena’s) and I’m hoping to see some more this weekend on the Oscars Red Carpet!

Your turn-What are your fave looks from awards season so far?

xoxo, Jenna

Thanks so much, Janna! You are too kind 🙂 Navy is my fave too! It was fun to wear a navy dress instead of a black one for this event. Hope you have a great weekend, girl!
