Last week MJD and I had the chance to get away for a few days to Amelia Island. The warmer temperatures, the R&R and the sand between our toes was just what the doctor ordered. We stayed at The Ritz Carlton and the hotel was really perfect- everyone was so nice and friendly, the resort was beautiful and the food yummy!

Amelia Island is a barrier island off the coast of Florida and close to Georgia. It was a quick, less than three hour flight to Jacksonville from Boston and a short 35 minute ride from there to the resort. The travel time makes it an easy long weekend getaway from Boston. Since it is in Northern Florida, just keep in mind the time of year if you are looking for warm weather.

Hope these pictures help you escape to the beach (at least mentally…) this Monday!

Have you ever been to Amelia Island? Would love to hear what you thought!

xoxo, Jenna

ahhhh these pictures are amazing!! I am so jealous of your getaway. I have been ITCHING to go away, especially since our fall vaca and spring vaca were cancelled due to the wedding 🙁 for now I guess I’ll have to live vicariously through everyone else’s vacations! Welcome home!

These pictures look amazing. Somehow Bo and I have never been here even though home is Savannah. It’s definitely added to our list.

Thanks Kristin 🙂 It was so colorful, unlike the lack of greenery in Boston- I couldn’t resist pics of all the flowers!
