It may make me a total stereotypical girlie girl (or blogger…), but is there any drink better for spring and summer than rosé? At the first sign of warmer temps, I immediately start reaching for the pink stuff and I truly can’t get enough!

At the expense of my hubby, I have to tell a quick funny story about rosé. You know how they say opposites attract? Well in some ways MJD and I are quite different- one of them being that I am obviously pretty social media obsessed and he is a total social media hater. Seriously, the guy doesn’t have one single social media account! Because of his lack of social media, he sometimes misses out on trends that pop up on Instagram and that kind of thing. Like rosé for example- all of us social media lovers have been seeing it on our feed for sometime, but he had no idea. Last summer we were out with a bunch of friends and we were ordering tons of rosé. MJD turned to me and so innocently said “is rosé in or something?” It was literally the cutest and funniest thing all at the same time.

MJD is much more of a beer and bourbon kind of guy, while I definitely love a girlie cocktail from time to time. Not only is rosé perfect for spring and summer, but it’s the definite girls’ night go-to. It’s pink for goodness sake! For a recent get together with some girlfriends, I wanted to shake things up with our rosé… and enter the Watermelon- Strawberry Rosé Slushies.  These guys are totally delish- with the watermelon and strawberry playing off the flavors in the wine. The slushie texture makes them a bit more fun too 🙂 Added bonus- they are super easy to make so you’ll have plenty of time to gossip with your girls!

Are you a fan of rosé for spring and summer like I am?

xoxo, Jenna

just sent this to my book club girlies- I’m totally making this for our next one! We are so basic and also love rose- I hosted it on Saturday and that’s all we drank! The social media thing is funny- RM isn’t active on social media at all and doesn’t like personal stuff shared so we definitely have disagreements there!
