Postcards From Nashville: What to Eat, Drink and Do

Nashville Travel Guide

Last month I spent a few days in Nashville for a girls’ weekend with some of my closest girlfriends. We had such a fab time during our weekend away there that I wanted to share with you some of our favorite things we did there and the yummiest places we ate and drank. Be sure to save this (maybe on your Pinterest) for any trips you have planned to Nashville!

Where to Eat and Drink:

Frothy Monkey:

There are a few different locations around the city, but I visited the 5th Avenue North location. Oh and I didn’t just visit once, it was so good I went back a second time! This spot was great for yummy coffee drinks and a more laidback breakfast. When I first arrived in Nashville, it was pouring rain so I popped in here to grab a coffee and wait as friends arrived into town. I loved my monkey mocha so much and the food looked so yummy that we all came back for breakfast on Sunday. Go here for delicious coffee drinks that are definitely Instagram worthy.

Adele’s:

We went to Adele’s for dinner on our first night in Nashville and I can’t say enough good things about it. Thanks to recommendations from friends (like Style Me Steph) and great reviews, we made a reservation there for dinner. Their website says they pride themselves on offering seasonal comfort food- and that is right up my alley! The ambiance was great with adorable bistro lights lining the area. We started with their housemade potato chips and trout dip which was super delish (and a specialty of theirs) and an awesome kale salad. For my entrée, I had the cobia which was a new to me fish, but I loved it. We were pretty stuffed from dinner, but somehow made room for dessert and had the blondie sundae. With toasted marshmallow on it, I was so glad we made room for a few bites 🙂 Go here for a yummy farm-to-table meal with great ambiance.

Pinewood Social:

This was my favorite place in Nashville- the food, the drinks, the ambiance (more on that later), we loved it all! We went for brunch and all had super yummy sandwiches. More importantly though, the cocktails were amazing! We tried a bunch and each one was better than the last. My favorites: the Good Sinner and the City of Churches. So much yum! Go here for the drinks… (and stay for everything else!)

What To Do:

Get Your Exercise On with Paddle Up Nashville:

When planning our trip, we knew we wanted to do one “workout” while we were there. As soon as I found the Paddle Up Fitness class at Paddle Up Nashville, I knew this would be for us. The class was like a circuit class, but on the paddle board- think squats, burpees, bicycles. It was so much fun and super unique. Definitely not something we would ever do otherwise! If you are interested in doing it, don’t feel like you need to be a pro-paddle boarder- I have only been one other time, two of my girlfriends had never been and we were totally fine. Go here when you want to get your sweat on in a fun way- before you eat and drink the rest of the day.

Check Out The Roof Deck at Acme Feed & Seed:

Just about every person I know who has been to Nashville before recommended going to Acme. The place is huge- 22,000 square feet huge!- with multiple floors, but my favorite part was the roof deck. It’s overlooking the river and all of Broadway, plus the skyline. It’s the perfect spot to grab a few drinks and watch the whole scene. Once you are done, you can always head downstairs for amazing live music or some of their traditional southern food. Go here for outdoor drinks with a view- oh, and great live music.

Hang Out At Pinewood Social’s Pool, Bocce Court or Bowling Alley:

Yes, I realize I am putting Pinewood Social on my list twice, but there is so much going on at this place, it is hard not to. So once you go there for the awesome cocktails, hang out for a bit and check out the other activities there. There’s bowling if you are into that, a bocce court for a little friendly competition, or you can just chill and sip your drink (or rose ;)) by the pool. There is something for everyone there! Go here to play games while sipping on amazing craft cocktails.

Sing Your Heart Out To The Performers at The Stage:

Our favorite spot on the lower Broadway strip, The Stage did not disappoint with their live music. We seriously couldn’t get enough! We all kept saying it was better than a concert because the performers played all the best country songs from every different artist, plus more. I may or may not have lost my voice after a night at Stage… Go here to sing along to your fave songs and dance the night away.

Happy Travels!

xoxo, Jenna
