A few months ago the invite for two of our good friends’ wedding arrived. On the invite, it described the attire as garden chic. I instantly loved how they defined the attire for us guests, making it very easy to know the vibe they were going for. My mind starting day dreaming about florals, flowy dresses and ruffles.
Cut to this- it’s three days before the wedding and I’m out in California for a work conference when I suddenly realize I have nothing to wear for the wedding! I guess moving and the start of summer did get the best of me as typically there is nothing more I love than shopping for a new dress ;). As soon as I got back to my hotel that night, I logged on to Rent The Runway (use this link for $30 off your first order!) and searched for what was available in just a few days in my size.
Enter the Nicole Miller Powernet Sheath. It may not have been the flowy florals I was initially envisioning wearing, but it was a style I knew would love good on me and the colors were super vibrant making it perfect for summer. Once the dress arrived, I was super happy with my choice. It was a modern take on garden chic and I loved it from the second I put it on- who can argue with that? Waiting to the last minute worked out so well this time, maybe I should do that going forward 😉 #nothanksjenna
Your turn- have you ever waited to the last minute to get a dress for a wedding or event? How did it turn out?
