Last month I introduced you to our new kitchen and Just Add Cooking, Boston’s only locally sourced meal delivery service to you. I’m back again to share some more deets behind this delish service and the meals I made from it in June.
Before I get into the specifics of our June Just Add Cooking meals, I have to say just how easy Just Add Cooking makes things for anyone looking to cook healthy meals with limited time. In your Just Add Cooking meal kit, all ingredients are organized by meal so you know exactly what goes with what. The recipe cards provided for each meal also show a cooking timeline so you know what to cook or do when to be the most efficient with your time. I don’t know about you, but when I get home from work, I’m wanting to get dinner done as quickly as possible. Thanks to the organized meal kit and timeline from Just Add Cooking this can actually happen 🙂 Want to take the meal planning hassle and weeknight dinner scramble out of your own routine? You can try Just Add Cooking for yourself using code CHICPARTY and get your first Just Add Cooking box for just $39.
Here’s what our box looked like for June:
Meal 1: Mini Meatloaves
Super yummy meatloaves in personal sizes made for an awesome Sunday night dinner. This meal was MJD’s favorite and I wasn’t too surprised as it is similar to a recipe I’ve made in the past that he loved. I roasted the potatoes based on personal preference and I think it turned out well.
Meal 2: Stuffed Turkey Burgers and Sweet Potato Fries
When I saw this as a choice on the Just Add Cooking site, I knew I wanted to try this meal. I love turkey burgers and who doesn’t love sweet potato fries? The burgers were really yummy and I thought stuffing them with cheese was a cool switch from a regular cheese burger. While I thought the burger was a fine size for me, I think MJD would have liked it a bit bigger. As you can see in the picture above, they didn’t really fill up the buns so I think a bit more ground turkey meat for this one could have been helpful.
Meal 3: Fettucine with Feta and Olives
I saved this meal for a night both MJD and I were getting home late from work because of meetings and it was so perfect for that! I whipped it up in right around 20 minutes. It was a very flavorful meal and I though the fresh pasta was really good. We don’t make pasta a lot for dinner, so this was a nice change of pace for us too. Only personal complaint on this one is that I do not like olives, so I just picked them out of my serving 🙂
Another yummy week with Just Add Cooking done and I’m already looking forward to ordering and eating my meal kit for July! Boston friends, try Just Add Cooking for yourself for only $39 a week using code CHICPARTY. I have a feeling it will make your week delicious and stress-free!

Thanks Kristen 🙂
we loved our subscription with JAC! Those meals look great, but I’ll also say that I hate olives so Roberto would’ve gotten a double dose, too! I also noticed that sometimes the meals made a ton and sometimes notsomuch, but regardless we loved all of them!

Yes, it’s been really yummy! I agree- they’ve all worked fine for us but sometimes there are a lot of the side randomly like a lot of potatoes.
