Well, I’ve officially entered a new decade 🙂 Yesterday I celebrated my 30th birthday and the whole weekend leading up to it was full of fun celebrations. My whole family was in town from New York and New Jersey so we spent a lot of time wandering around the city and I even went on my first swan boat ride. Isn’t it funny how when you live somewhere you never really do the touristy type things your own city is known for?
Besides that we also celebrated with a delish seafood dinner at Row 34. It’s one of my fave restaurants in Boston. Between last weekend’s anniversary celebrations in Newport and this dinner, I was joking that I am on a rose and lobster roll diet. Probably not the healthiest, but it’s a darn delicious one!
Since it was a special birthday (but aren’t they all though?), I wanted to wear a pretty dress. As soon as I saw this Red Valentino number, I knew it was the one I’d wear to celebrate my 30th! It’s ladylike and chic with the cutest scalloped and peter pan collar details. I can’t forget the pockets either- who doesn’t love those! I ordered the equivalent of a US Size 2 based on some reviews and was glad I did- I typically go between a 2 and a 4 for dresses depending on the bust and the smaller size worked perfectly here. I so wanted to keep this dress forever, but am glad I got to wear it for a fun night!
Do you plan to wear something special for your birthday each year too?
