Pumpkins, blanket scarves, suede shoes, mums, apple crisp… these are the things that Fall is made of. While a good blanket scarf is definitely a fall essential in my book, this scarf goes beyond the basic as it not only looks cute, but it does good too! For the month of October, Talbots has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer awareness. 20% of the net proceeds from this blanket scarf/wrap will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation to help provide early detection, support services and education to women. As part of their mission, NBCF provides free mammograms to underserved women across the country and supports them through treatment after diagnosis.
This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, so I was happy to partner with Talbots to spread the word about this gorgeous blanket scarf that also supports a great cause! 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime- so if this disease hasn’t already touched your life, the chances that it does are quite high. As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many of our favorite stores will be offering products that support the cause and this is an awesome way to give a little back during your shopping. While buying products that support breast cancer awareness is a great way to start, I’d also encourage each of us to consider donating (money or time!) to support Breast Cancer Awareness and those fighting the disease. I promise you this will make you feel better than anything you can buy!

I love to hear when companies work with breast cancer foundations! My mom had breast cancer when I was little and this will be her 11th year in remission! Love this scarf, you look so cozy in it 🙂
