Guinness Ice Cream Floats

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day week in Boston- and it just so happens to fall on a Friday this year making it a major cause for celebration!

Guinness is obviously the unofficial (or maybe it’s actually the official?) beer of Saint Patrick’s Day.  This recipe is an adult and Irish version of the classic root beer float. I’m not really a Guinness drinker, but anything topped with ice cream and whipped cream is a win in my book! The recipe is super easy to make and also a fun addition for any Patty’s Day parties you have planned.

What are your plans for Saint Patrick’s Day? Hope these can be added to your agenda!

xoxo, Jenna

You’ll Need:

  • Bottle of Guinness
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Whipped Cream
  • Sprinkles to decorate

To Make:

Add two scoops of vanilla ice cream to chilled pint glass.

Fill glass with Guinness.

Top with whipped cream and green sprinkles for a Saint Patrick’s day touch.

I looove Guinness (important to note that it’s much lighter tasting than it’s color suggests) and this sounds right up my alley! Thanks for the idea xoxo
