In case you haven’t been on Instagram in the last two weeks 😉 , we are in the middle of the BEST sale of the year- the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The Anniversary Sale is the best sale in my opinion because things actually go on sale before the season starts- it is fall clothes on sale now until August 2nd. After that the prices go back up so it makes total sense to stock up on some fall faves now! Today I’m going to share with you what I bought and what I’m keeping, returning and why. Hope this helps a bit as you shop the sale for yourself! Feel free to ask any questions in the comments too 🙂

What I’m Keeping (oops, it’s kind of almost everything…)

Halogen Off The Shoulder Sweater-Sorry you are going to see the word Halogen a lot in this post, but they had some good stuff in this year’s sale! This off-the-shoulder black sweater will be a weekend fave come fall and winter. It isn’t super tight and it has a bit more length- I’m keeping size XS.

Halogen Tie Hem Sweater– My favorite piece from the sale! Love the tie hem details. I know I’ll wear this one all the time- both for work and weekend.

Halogen Ruffle Hem Dress– Such a cute black dress- comes in some pretty fall floral patterns too. It is a bit on the looser/boxy side so I am keeping it in the XS.

Halogen Plaid Mini Skirt– Channeling my high school uniform days with this skirt, but I’m obsessed with all things plaid in the fall and know this skirt will be on repeat. I didn’t order a petite so it isn’t exactly “mini” on me, but I like that so I can wear it to the office too. It runs true to size.

Make + Model Joggers– I picked up a pair of these during last year’s sale as well and I wear them to death so figured I should get a second pair. They are the perfect pant for lounging around at home.

Tory Burch Satchel and Tory Burch Wallet -The sale is a great time to treat yo self to a new bag and matching wallet. My wallet is so old so I bit the bullet and decided to get both! The color of the bag is called Light Oak, but to me it’s like a blush-beige combo that I love!

BaubleBar Earrings– Obviously was going to keep these earrings! Rose gold, fringe, tassels- yes please. I apologize in advance for the amount of times I’ll be wearing them going forward 🙂

Sam Edelman Flats– These were one of the most commented on pieces when I did my insta-story try on session. I absolutely love these flats and hope they re-stock the gingham for you all. Either way they come in a number of colors- like pink and navy velvet!- that would make for super additions to any closet. Run true to size.

Madewell Utility Jacket– I’ve looked at utility jackets the last several years, but never found one I liked. This one was SO cute on and I can’t wait to wear it. I would say it fits true to size and I am keeping the small.

Clarisonic Mia– Another thing I’ve wanted to try for years is a Clarisonic. The sale seemed like the perfect time to try it out. If anyone has tips on how often to use, etc. would love them!

What I’m still deciding on:

BP. Plaid Shirt– So at first I thought this shirt was a little bit too big for me- it is a longer tunic, boyfriend style. But then I tucked it in with the Madewell jacket and I loved it, so now I’m torn! 😉

Hinge Block Heel Bootie– Obsessed with these boots, but they need to be paired with jeans that are really tight at the bottom and ankle length. I’ll probably hold on to them and try to find some jeans that work with them. They will also be super cute with dresses/skirts, but I want to make sure I can wear them with some jeans too!

What I’m returning:

BP Cold Shoulder Pullover-This sweater is really cute, but just wasn’t the most flattering on me so I don’t think I’ll be keeping it.

Halogen Asymmetrical Coat-Really, really wanted this jacket to work, but it did not at all. It was way too big and too much fabric for my frame even in the extra small. This would look better on someone who is taller. Trying to get my sister to wear this one instead 🙂

BP. Loafer Mule– These mules were a perfect example of me trying to make fetch happen. They are super cute, but really not sure what I would wear them with. They run true to size though if they are your style and appear to be well made for the low price tag!

Have you shopped the sale yet? Let me know what your fave pieces were! Oh and any questions on the above, drop me a comment below 🙂

xoxo, Jenna
