Can’t stop wont stop wearing fall florals! While florals are typically seen as very spring, a darker color palette easily transitions the pattern for fall. This mini dress from Joie is the perfect example!
A few things I want to mention about this dress from a sizing perspective- it is a mini and I mean mini as you can see how short it is on me, and I am just about 5′ 2″. Since I’m shorter I was okay going with my regular size (a small) since I knew I was going to wear the dress with tights. However, if you are taller you may want to size up as the length could be an issue- no one wants a Lindsay Lohan style paparazzi moment climbing out of their Uber, am I right? The other piece to mention- if you happen to be a little top heavy like I am, you may want to pin the top closed (I did), unless you want to add a little extra sex appeal. Totally your preference and I think it would be super cute with a lacey bralette peeking out, but personally I liked the top closed a little higher up. Especially since I was just wearing this out to dinner and not out on the bar scene (#thisisthirty).
By the way, how cute are these earrings? It’s pretty much a known fact that I love statement earrings here on BCP. Some how I didn’t have a pair of true red statement earrings so when I received this pair from Morey Lane I was so excited! Their online boutique is the cutest and I love the Nantucket inspired names.
Do you wear florals in Fall or is it a Spring time favorite for you?
