Velvet and lace are two textures that are easily holiday ready on their own. But tis the season to be a little bit extra, so in today’s look I paired the two together with a black velvet Old Navy blazer and a chic Joie hunter green top. While this look goes perfectly with jeans for a family holiday get-together or a Christmas dinner out with girlfriends, you could easily switch out the jeans for black pants for an office ready outfit.
I feel like velvet is one of those things that always reminds me of holiday dresses growing up so I’m excited it is making a bit of a resurgence this year. I want my mom to dig out some pics of my velvet dresses when I was younger- I had this one that was navy blue with a pink sash bow. Oh man, still love that dress!
Did you wear velvet for your “Christmas dress” when you were growing up? Would you still wear velvet today?
xoxo, Jenna
