Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope your day is filled with chocolate and pretty flowers and lots of love!

When it comes to making a basic look like a white silky top and jeans a little less basic, I have a very easy fashion equation that I follow. Just add red and leopard! Whether it’s a red lip or a red accessory, like a purse or maybe a pair of earrings like these ones, red is my go-to for a pop of color. I know I’ve said it before (and so has another Jenna- Jenna Lyons, former pres of J.Crew), but leopard is definitely a neutral to me. While it goes with anything, leopard print does make just enough of a statement to bring an otherwise kind of simple outfit into more of a statement. So if you are ever stuck for what to wear- have no fear add some red and some leopard and you’ll be ready to go!

I’ve been getting a few questions recently about sizing on items, especially when I’ve worn non-maternity styles with my bump so wanted to share a bit. This Elizabeth and James top is a looser style so I was fine to wear it with a bump and it’s also on the longer side so will easily cover maternity jeans.  I am wearing a size small. Since it is a bit oversized, if you aren’t pregnant, I think your regular size would be fine if you are into a looser fit or you could consider sizing down. If you ever have questions on sizing that I don’t mention, let me know- happy to answer!

What are some of your favorite ways to make a basic outfit anything but?

xoxo, Jenna
