Today’s outfit features a few of my favorite things- stripes, leopard and a statement earring! Over the past three years of blogging, I’m pretty sure I’ve fully told you how much I love stripes, why I think leopard is a total neutral and how a good pair of statement earrings can really make an outfit, so I think I’ll save the repetition for today and talk about something totally unrelated- the random things people say/do when you are pregnant.

Before my own pregnancy, I’ve had friends that told me stories of strangers giving them advice or touching their belly or other random things. Until experiencing this for myself recently, I honestly didn’t believe that this many total strangers would be so interested in my baby bump belly. While innocently picking out a nail polish color a few weeks ago, a woman I’ve never met came up to me and touched my belly in the nail salon. Personal space please 🙂 This past weekend I was in the bathroom at a chocolate brunch I went to and again this totally random woman said “Oh you ate a lot of chocolate”. Why yes, I ate about 7 months worth of chocolate thank you very much 🙂 I think of myself as a friendly person, but some of these things are just taking things beyond the realm of normal friendliness. I guess I can’t ever picture myself touching the belly of a person I’ve never met or joking about how much someone ate outside of my good friends! I always try to respond very nicely, but I have a feeling this is only going to persist as this bump grows… hopefully I’ll have some good stories for you guys if anything else 🙂

Have you or a friend ever had a stranger say totally random with you while pregnant? Would love to hear some other funny stories!

xoxo, Jenna
