Creating An Entryway Feel With A Console Table

Console Table: West Elm Catch-all: Mark & Graham Coffee Table Book: Domino Frame: Kate Spade Topiary Set: Pier 1

One home decor item I had been searching for for months was an entryway table. Now I use the term entryway very loosely as our home sweet apartment/condo doesn’t actually have a true entryway- it’s more like a space next to our front door.

Pretty much since we moved into our place a year and a half ago, I’ve been frustrated by the pile of mail that inevitably ends up on the kitchen counter or the collection of keys that sits on the half of the dining table we don’t eat at. Call it a combination of nesting or finally being just annoyed enough to take action, but I finally bit the bullet and bought this skinny console table from West Elm. I have no idea why I hemmed and hawed over this purchase for literally months, but this piece is perfect for our space. It is narrow enough that it isn’t in the way when we walk in the door, but provides enough “counter” space for the “drop when you walk in the door” essentials, plus a few decorative touches. Now that we have it I can’t imagine our place without it!

I’m so happy with our latest home decor purchase- this console table is perfect for anyone with a small space who wants a good looking, but functional piece!

I had a similar one from west elm in my Southie condo! It was the only place I found the tall skinny ones that didn’t block the hallway and were simple enough to look nice!

You know how much I love this table and I’m trying to get my husband to agree to get it! xo, Biana
