Mother’s Day is right around the corner and while giving your mama some flowers or a pretty piece of jewelry is great, I love planning a special activity together to celebrate my mom. It is the perfect opportunity to do something girlie, fun and get some quality time together. For those of you in Boston, today’s post is full of Mother-Daughter date ideas that would be perfect for a day celebrating just how special your mom is! Oh and don’t worry if you can’t plan these things for exactly Mother’s Day- you can always gift her the date for another day which is just as great.

Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum– Grab brunch first and then head over to this gorgeous museum which is sure to be Mom’s new fave. The mix of artwork and the stunning courtyard with seasonal floral displays makes it a unique place to visit.

Have Tea for Two at the Boston Public Library– Having afternoon tea in the iconic Boston Public Library is definitely a Boston bucket list item. If your mom is a bibliophile, she’ll be sure to love the little details like menus being served in books.

Take an Alice’s Table Floral Arranging Class– Instead of just giving mom flowers, why not go to a class and learn to arrange them together? I absolutely love these classes and they are the perfect mother-daughter date!

Feel like a Royal at Tea at the Langham Boston– I’m of course partial to The Langham (we had our wedding reception there 🙂 ), but their traditional British afternoon tea is another great one to try with Mom. With an assortment of teas including some Langham exclusive blends and the most gorgeous pink floral Wedgewood China, your mom is sure to feel like royalty.

Learn something new together at a Sip & Script Calligraphy Class– For the mom who isn’t afraid to try something new, Sip & Script’s classes are a great way to try out a new skill (that can be quite useful!) in their calligraphy classes. Even if you aren’t artistically gifted, the classes are a lot of fun and sometimes laughing at yourself is the best way to bond 🙂

Live in the Boston area and have other ideas for fun ways to celebrate Mother’s Day with your mama? Share them in the comments so we all have more ideas!

xoxo, Jenna

These are all such great ideas for Mother’s Day! I love the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. It is so beautiful! And I didn’t realize you could do tea at the library. Next time I am in Boston I am definitely going to try it!
