The holidays are full of family, food, shopping and wrapping, but for most of us the holidays also mean some sort of travel! There’s a reason that the days around Christmas are some of the busiest travel days of the year! Our holiday travel this year includes Nicholas’ first flight- I’m equal parts excited and nervous 🙂
For me, a good travel outfit is important and there a few things I always keep in mind when planning mine. A good travel outfit involves layers- you never know when your airplane neighbor is going to have the AC on full blast or if the train car you are in is going to be super hot. Layers allow you to temperature control- even better if they are similar to blankets like the wrap in these pics! Secondly, a good travel outfit has to be comfortable because yet again you never know when you may get delayed, stuck in traffic, and you want to be comfy and cozy if that time comes. The last piece I try to keep in mind with my travel outfits is the ability to hop off the plane/train or out of the car and wear it wherever you are headed. A cute pair of ponte pants like these embellished with zipper pockets are perfect to get that perfect mix of comfy with pulled together.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that one of my favorite places to shop is Loft– and my cute, comfy and layered holiday travel look in today’s post was picked up at my local Prudential Center Loft store. Special hi to Brooke for the help 😉 Loft is one of my favorites for their selection of work to weekend pieces and I’m always tempted by their sales! With the holidays around the corner, it is the perfect spot to pick up a new top for Christmas or New Years Eve, while shopping for any last minute gifts.
Do you travel for the holidays or stay close to home? If you are traveling what does your travel style look like?
