Dress: Tanya Taylor Shoes: Sarah Flint
I’m wondering if I should re-name this post to my favorite shoes and other things… seems to be a theme that I’m including shoes in each of these Fave Five posts. April’s favorite things include two pairs of shoes (the perfect pair of heels and my go-to run around town sneaks), a magical overnight skincare treatment, a fun podcast and the journal I use.
Sarah Flint Perfect Pump– I mentioned these Sarah Flint heels in this post and you’ve seen me wear them quite a few times on Instagram (like the pic above!)… they really are the perfect heel which is probably why they are called the Perfect pump! They are super comfortable, like easily wear all day comfort. Didn’t matter if I wear them with a dress or jeans, they make your legs look SO good. I am really glad I got the nude color- goes with everything obviously. They are a little bit of a pinker nude than some other tan nude shoes I’ve had in the past, which I wasn’t sure about at first but I really love after having for a bit! Can definitely see myself getting these in black at some point too. Ps- I have the mid height heel in these called the 85, but they also come in a more kitten heel and a higher option too!
BeautyCounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel– Whenever I heard people mention Beautycounter, I feel like there was consistently one product that was always a favorite- the overnight resurfacing peel! Well for whatever reason I finally decided to try it for myself and oh my gosh I’m hooked! I honestly felt like it minimized some of my fine lines in just one use. My mom even said she noticed a difference in my skin this weekend so it made me really happy to know this product is working if someone else noticed after just a few weeks of use! I’m not as passionate about this as I should be, but like all Beautycounter products, this peel is clean and free from questionable ingredients used in many skin care items in the US.
One Line A Day Journal- This isn’t necessarily a new fave this month… in fact I’ve been using mine for almost a year. On the day Nicholas was born I started a one line a day journal and have been writing down a memory from the day in it. Now that it has almost been a year (where did the time go!), I am really appreciating how much it makes me reflect and hope that one day he will love reading my memories of his first years!
The Blair Sneakers by Vince– These shoes are oldies but goodies that I am finally starting to wear again as spring arrives in New England. My Vince sneaks are some of my most worn in my closet- I wear with everything from dresses (see me wearing them all over Italy here) to jeans and they have sneaker comfort without looking like you are wearing an athletic shoe. If interested, definitely size DOWN! I went down a half a size, maybe could have even gone down a full size.
Bad On Paper Podcast– I caught up on a bunch of episodes from Grace of The Stripe and Becca’s podcast recently. This podcast just makes me feel good and basically like I am having a drink with girlfriends catching up on things in life. Some of my favorite episodes recently- their interview with Hitha Palepu (must listen for any moms!), the episode about self employment (so inspiring!) and their episode with Jared Freid was absolutely hysterical.
What are some of your favorite things this month?
xoxo, Jenna
