What I Bought At The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale-2019

Today marks the first day of general access to the Nordstom Anniversary Sale- meaning anyone can shop regardless of if they have a Nordstrom card or not! This is my favorite sale of the year, but I’ve been feeling a little burnt out from it the last few years with the influx of posts on social media. It definitely was encouraging a behavior to buy tons of things just because they were on sale, not necesarily things that were my style or that I would wear frequently. For this year’s sale, I decided to go into it with a different attitude and use it as a time to stock up on some necessities (like Chantelle bras) and also get a few fall staples I know I’ll wear a ton especially as a new stay at home mom. I’m 100% certain the Patagonia and the Zella leggings will be worn multiple times a week this fall! If you are planning to shop the sale, I’d recommend focusing on items that are worth getting on sale because you know you’ll use them as oppossed to loading up on a ton of trendy pieces you may not wear too much. Just my advice! Here’s what I decide was worth purchasing (I still got quite a bit!):

One. Nordstrom Lingerie Pajamas– My fave pajamas! I’ve written about these before but they are so soft and comfy. They also make a great gift for any new moms in your life. I decided to grab another pair during the sale since I love them so much.

Two. Patagonia Better Sweater Pullover– Like I said, I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this multiple times a week come fall. Will be perfect for park trips with Nicholas! This was totally worth it to me because of that and the fact that Patagonia rarely goes on sale! Two other great Patagonia pieces included in the sale at the Better Sweater zip fleece  and the Los Gatos fleece jacket.

Three. Nordstrom At Home Plush Throw– Not really a necessity, but I love cozy throw blankets and this seemed like a a nice one at a good price. It was delivered last night and it is super soft and I am excited to switch things up on our couch with it.

Four. Barefoot Dreams Cardigan– I didn’t buy one this year, but did buy last year and it completely lives up to the hype so wanted to share it again. This is the softest cardigan ever! Love wearing it!

Five. BP. Cozy Shorts– At $19, these pajama shorts are perfect for the end of summer and into fall. I got a blue and heart patterned pair that seems to be sold out, but will hopefully be restocked!

Six. Caslon Drape Collar Knit Blazer– My only impulse purchase during this year’s sale. I saw this blazer and thought it’d be great to dress up and down or wear as a light jacket come fall so snagged it. I would suggest going down a size unless you are looking for it to be a bit more oversized. I ordered a small and extra small and planning to keep the XS.

Seven. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings– These have been on my list for a while so was glad I could take advantage of the sale for them! I’m still waiting on them to arrive but was debating on ordering in petite for length which was sadly sold out. Will keep you posted on length!

Eight. Longchamp Expandable Tote- Another item I have from a prior year- this tote is amazing and expands to fit a ton! Great for travel when your stuff fits on the way there but magically expands when you head home 😉

Nine. Wit & Wisdom Jeans– There are a few pairs included in this year’s sale, but I went for a high waisted pair #momlife in a lighter wash than the pair I already have. Another item I’ll wear on repeat this fall.

Ten. Zella High Waisted Live In Leggings Again another high waisted pair of pants! These leggings are thick enough to wear on their own. The high waist holds everything in- so amazing! They are slightly long for me, but I’ll either get them hemmed or can roll them under pretty easily, just thought I’d mention for other shorties!

Eleven. Nuna Rava Convertible Car Seat– I remembered that this car seat was included in the sale last year so was waiting to purchase once the sale went live. Great type of item to take advantage of this sale for!

Twelve. The North Face Reversible Infant Jacket– Obviously Nicholas is going to need a new jacket for fall and winter so picked up this one. He had a North Face fleece and bunting last year and both were great so knew I wanted to go for this quality. He is on the smaller size, but I think their stuff runs slightly larger- he was able to wear the items for several months.

Are you shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale today or did you already shop during Early Access? Let me know what pieces you thought were worth buying!

xoxo, Jenna
