Do you guys remember Oprah’s favorite things? I’m not sure if she still does them, but I vividly remember watching these episodes when in college with my girlfriends and we would use her favorite things for some of our Christmas shopping ideas. There were always one or two items that went completely viral and sold out everywhere thanks to O’s endorsement.
Well I’m hardly anywhere close to Oprah, but I do have some favorite things 🙂 Instead of overwhelming you with a gift guide of things I’ve never tried and have no experience with, I thought it would be better to list my favorite things for you. Any of these items would make an amazing gift that I know the women in your life would be thrilled to receive! There’s a whole bunch of cozy items, a handful of stocking stuffers or smaller gifts for Secret Santa exchanges and some of my style must haves. If you buy any of these items, whether as gifts or for yourself, I’d love to hear from you- and I hope you love them as much as I do!
One. Nordstrom Moonlight Pajamas– Sorry I’m not sorry, I talk about these pajamas non-stop and have included them in past gift guides. They are the best and a perfect gift idea as I find a lot of people don’t tend to splurge on their own pjs. They come in several colors so you can pick their fave too 🙂 Ps- wearing these as I work on this gift guide 😉
Two. Ugg Scuffette Slippers– A tried and true favorite for several years. Another gift idea I don’t think you can go wrong with- a good pair of slippers! These are super warm and cozy and I personally love that they slip on for getting them on in the dark.
Three. Sh*t That I Knit Beanie and Mitten set– I was lucky enough to receive a beanie from Sh*t That I Knit earlier this month and I’m now completely in love. Their hats are super soft, warm and of course cute. The quality is amazing and is sure to last for several years.
Four. Savvy Sleepers Satin Pillowcase– I can’t remember exactly when I switched to this pillowcase, but after hearing how silk pillowcases were better for your hair and skin I was searching around for a less expensive option. Coming in at around $45, I was much more comfortable buying this than the $100+ silk pillowcases I’ve seen. I definitely think it helps blowouts last longer and I’m hopeful it’s resulting in less wrinkles for this side sleeper 🙂
Five. Nordstrom Home Plush Throw– I first bought this throw during the Anniversary sale. It is so soft and cuddly, I use it basically every night on the couch. Comes in a ton of colors and would also make a great hostess gift. At just $40, I’d say it feels much better than it costs.
Six. Barefoot Dreams Cardigan– This is a product I didn’t believe the hype about until I tried it for myself. Their sweaters are beyond cozy- it’s basically like walking around with a blanket draped over you. I wear mine over my moonlight PJs for the ultimate in cozy 🙂
Seven. Daisy Jones & The Six– If you have a reader on your shopping list, buy them a favorite book from this year! Daisy Jones was one of mine and I think so many of my girlfriends would love it too.
Eight. MZ Wallace Metro Tote– Another favorite for years. This bag somehow fits everything you could ever want and more. It’s great for travel, could work as a diaper bag or a haul everything to the office kind of bag. Absolutely recommend it.
Nine. J.Crew Factory Leopard Headband– I’m all in on the headband trend and an animal print one for less than $15 is a fun add on gift. Leopard is a neutral as we all already know so this one will go with everything and help hide any second or third day hair too 😉
Ten. Dudley Stephens Cobble Hill Turtleneck– Like the Barefoot Dreams, I did not buy into the hype around Dudley Stephens for a while. Earlier this fall I finally bit the bullet and bought my first one. I now completely understand the hype. It is so cozy, comfortable like a sweatshirt, but looks way better and can be dressed up or down. I like that this one is longer so can go with leggings, but they also make a shorter version- the Park Slope- if that is more your thing.
Eleven. Rothy’s The Point Flat– Just about every time I wear my Rothy’s some one asks me if I like them. The answer is YES! These shoes are super comfortable and I love that I can wear them around all day running errands with Nicholas and be comfortable while also looking more pulled together. The point makes them appear a bit dressier than they feel. I haven’t tried any of the other Rothy’s styles, but if they are as comfy as these I’d say they are a win! On sizing- their website and many others recommended sizing up if you are a half size. I stayed with my normal size (6.5) and it is much better for me than a 7 was.
Twelve. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings– For the style obsessed on your list. These leggings are so great for winter because they are warm, but also look good! The leather finish to them is really nice and I think your gift recipient will wear them a ton.
Thirteen. Voluspa Prosecco Candle– This is one of my favorite candles and the price tag isn’t ridiculous like some other candles so it’s one I don’t have guilt over burning haha. Would be a great stocking stuffer or a good co-worker gift or for a Secret Santa.
Fourteen. Yeti Rambler Water Bottle– My best friend Meghan introduced me to this and now MJD and I are both obsessed with these bottles. I drink out of mine every day and definitely drink more water because of it. You can also get it monogrammed if you order directly from Yeti and can add a straw top to it to make it even easier to drink.
Fifteen. Sephora Collection Sheet Mask Set– I love these sheet masks and this is the ultimate set for the skincare lover. Another good stocking stuff or Secret Santa gift!
Sixteen. Living Proof Dry Shampoo Gift Set– My holy grail dry shampoo! Not sure this is actually a gift I’d give someone unless to a friend who hasn’t tried it yet or maybe to stuff a stocking of a family member I know that loves it. It is perfect for gifting to yourself though 🙂 This set gets you a full size and a travel size for basically the same price as a full size bottle (I think it’s like 2 dollars more) so it is well worth buying.
Seventeen. Weezie Makeup Towels– You’ve probably heard me mention these makeup towels before and again I’m not going to apologize because I think they are great and actually genius. I hate when mascara would end up on towels- the worst. No need to worry with these towels! I use mine all the time and have given them to my mom and sister too who both use them. Tip- they come in a pair so you could always split them up and give one to two different friends or family members.
Happy Shopping everyone!
xoxo, Jenna
