Well compared to how January crawled, I feel like February just flew on by! Wanted to share with you guys a few things I’ve been loving recently. Here’s to an extra day in February helping me get this post up just in time before the end of the month!
The super hydrating Tatcha lip mask– I got SO many messages when I posted about this lip mask on my Instagram story. I’ve now been using it for a few weeks and can say I am definitely a fan! This lip mask has significantly improved my super dry winter lips. I have been applying twice a day, in the morning after I do my skincare routine and then at night before bed. I personally love that it comes with a little spreader to apply it instead of having to put my finger in the mask or use a q-tip every time to apply. I’m not sure if I’ve just been better about applying it, but I think the Tatcha lip mask does work better than my prior fave, the Bite Beauty lip mask. I do prefer having the application spreader for sure. A lot of you also recommended the Laniege sleeping mask, but since this one is working so well I didn’t get give it a try. PS- if your lips are really dry, you may want to exfoliate them- I use the Bite lip scrub once a week and it definitely helps getting rid of dry flakes to help product absorb more.
The new Emma movie– Was really lucky to get invited to see a preview of this movie earlier this week before it was released. Jane Austen is one of my all time favorite authors and I absolutely love British period movies like this so I was super excited. I was not at all disappointed- I loved the movie! The acting was incredible, the costumes are beyond gorgeous and of course the romantic story line of Emma is fabulous. Definitely one to watch!
Trader Joe’s Everything But The Elote Seasoning– We love TJ’s elote corn chips so I naturally had to buy their newest seasoning, Everything But The Elote when it came out. This mexican inspired spice is made up of chile pepper, Parmesan cheese, chipotle powder, cumin, dried cilantro and sea salt. So far I’ve tried it on shrimp for shrimp tacos and also on scrambled eggs- it adds a great flavor! I’ve heard it’s great sprinkled on plain popcorn as well and am planning to try on top of my avo toast this weekend. If you like the kick of the elote chips, add a bit more of this seasoning than you may think to get the kick though.
The cutest under $30 sunglasses from Tuckernuck– Ordered these sunnies thanks to my friend Sarah and they have become my new go-to pair. At around $30 (I swear I bought them for $28, but I now see them as $32…), these tortoise shell oversized shades are really cute at a very affordable price. Good for those of us with toddlers that like to grab your sunglesses or if you tend to lose glasses easily 😉 . They come in a traditional brown tortoise as well as gray tortoise if that is more your thing.
An amazing every day pink lipstick from Beauty Counter– A few months ago I got my first Beautycounter lipstick- the sheer lipstick in Lily. It is a great every day color that is a light pink. I love it and throw it on to feel a bit more pulled together.
Do you guys like these type of posts? It is fun for me to share some of my favorite things that really wouldn’t need their own dedicated post, but wonder if it is enough or info or what you think!
xoxo, Jenna
