The Best Gifts for a New Mom

With quarantining, I’ve pretty much lost track of time and am just now realizing that Mother’s Day is less than two weeks away. That one snuck up on me! Being pregnant myself I’ve been thinking a lot about moms who have given birth during this time and how hard it must be. The initial postpartum weeks can be a hard transition and add on top of that a quarantine where you cannot see anyone besides those living in your immediate home and you have a very isolating experience. Whether you want to celebrate a new mom for Mother’s Day or just to let her know you are thinking of her, I’m sharing some favorite items that I know a new mom would love!

Not on this list, but did want to add- I always like to bring food to friends who have recently had a baby because putting a meal together those first few months is really hard. If you are able to do this by dropping off in a socially distant way or can order something to be delivered, I think that would be an amazing gesture too!

One. Nordstrom Lingerie Pajamas-For cozy night (and day) time cuddles, with a nursing friendly top

Two. Living Proof Dry Shampoo-Because everyone needs a good dry shampoo and this is the best

Three. Patchology Restoring Eye Gel Masks-For nights when she didn’t get enough sleep

Four. Silk sleep mask and pillowcase-To make her beauty sleep even more beautiful

Five. Clarisonic Sonic Cleanser-The easiest way to have an at home spa night is with this awesome tool

Six. Barefoot Dreams Cardigan-The softest sweater ever

Seven. MZ Wallace Medium Tote-The best carry-it-all bag that has pouches inside which I love for stashing diapers, wipes or other stuff you need

Eight. Yeti Rambler– My favorite water bottle to stay hydrated, especially important for new moms that are nursing

Nine. bee + roo Cashmere Poncho– This poncho is designed to do it all- act as a nursing cover, a car seat cover, just a cute accessory to wear. I’ve been wearing mine through my third trimester and can’t wait to use it when nursing. Also a great small business run by a local mom to two 🙂

While gifting may not be in your budget, I can absolutely tell you that all new moms appreciate a check in text or phone call from the “outside world” regardless of if we are in a pandemic or not, so don’t hesitate to send them a little love that way too!

xoxo, Jenna
