Thank you to Minted for providing complimentary birth announcements to our family in exchange for this post! I’m excited to work with a company I’ve used personally several times to share Birth Announcements at Minted.
Having a baby during a global pandemic makes for some interesting experiences for sure. One of the most disappointing is that we aren’t able to introduce Peter in person to many of our friends and extended family. He is just too cute for words and I’d love for everyone to be able to experience his sweet face and amazing leg rolls, but sadly it isn’t possible right now. Regardless of COVID, I planned to send out birth announcements sharing Peter’s arrival, but sending birth announcements is more important than ever now given how few people will meet him as a newborn.
We’ve used Minted for so many family “announcements” and cards in the past- from our wedding Save The Dates to holiday cards and Nicholas’ birth announcement. While Minted gifted these announcements for Peter’s arrival, our past experience when purchasing made us confident in the choice- their quality is fabulous and we have always been happy with their gorgeous design choices. After looking through so many of the beautiful announcement options, I settled on the “Just Me” birth announcements as the design kept the focus on sweet Peter with space for a family photo on the back of the card.
In case your mom brain is acting up, I love that you get the opportunity to review a draft with a designer before printing to ensure everything is just as you want it. I am also so grateful for the addressing that Minted provides complimentary with birth announcement orders. I definitely do not have time to address all our birth announcements, plus the printed addresses are a million times better than my handwriting would be! Since we’ve used Minted to send cards in the past my address book is already loaded in making the process seamless. In addition to ordering Peter’s birth announcements from Minted, I ordered the coordinating Thank You notes which was pretty genius if I say so myself. It was an easy way to get personalized thank you notes for Peter quickly and easily without having to spend time combing through choices elsewhere.
If you had a baby or will be having a baby during this time, I’d recommend sending a formal birth announcement to share your new little one with your friends and family. Facebook or Instagram posts are great, but in this time where you can see so few people, it’s nice to share in a more tangible way!
If you have children did you send birth announcements?
xoxo, Jenna
