Going in to the holiday season, I’m hoping to do a lot of my shopping with small businesses. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite small businesses to shop with- for myself, kids and for the home. If you purchase any gifts from one of these businesses this Christmas season, I’d love to hear about it!
For The Ladies-
Dudley Stephens– You know I love my Dudley! These fleece turtlenecks are worth every cent and you or your gift recipient will be wearing them non-stop this winter. My favorite style is the Cobble Hill- I’m wearing it in the picture above and I love that you can wear it with leggings or jeans because of the longer length. They do also carry kids and a few men’s items as well!
Sh*t That I Knit– A Boston-based fave, Sh*t That I Knit was founded after a successful stall at the SoWa market and is now being carried at Nordstrom! Their hats, mittens and ear bands make a great gift for the winter ahead. They do also have kids hats which are adorable- so a matching gift moment is a great idea! The green hat in the top photo in this post is one of their cozy beanies.
bee + roo– Shopping for a mom to be can be pretty difficult. The ponchos from bee + roo are an amazing gift for any expecting moms- I loved wearing it while pregnant and it is a perfect cover for nursing
Sewcialite– Roula is the designer behind Sewcialite and she makes gorgeous hand beaded clutches and earrings. You can get a peek at one of her nautical clutches in this post. I’m eyeing her new bow earrings for the holidays. Everything is handmade and beautiful.
Sara Campbell- The classic styles and cozy cashmere make Sara Campbell a great investment gift idea. I’m also shopping there for holiday outfits for myself, not just gifts! All items are made in the USA.
Mary Bret– I was introduced to Mary Bret’s earrings around the holidays last year at a pop up. They are such a fun statement piece and would make a great gift for a girlfriend.
Sail To Sable– Sail To Sable has some of the best preppy, classic pieces out there. I loved wearing one of their red plaid dresses last year as my Christmas dress (seen below). Their holiday collection is gorgeous if looking for something to wear for any (small and safe!) holiday celebrations. Their new “casual” shop features some great elevated casual pieces for all of us as we stay home more, but want to look cute.
The Style Filos– Using The Style Filos, you can pick out three accessories to create a custom accessories box. The accessories are perfect for all of us living that Zoom life- headbands, necklaces and earrings, basically whatever you’ll see on Zoom!
For The Home-
Chappy Wrap– The best blankets ever! These come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Love mine on the couch, outside for a picnic or cozy by our fire pit. I’ve also brought one when going out for dinner in the colder temps!
Estelle Colored Glass– A newer to me small business that I’ve already ordered gifts from, Estelle sells the most beautiful colored glass wine glasses, champagne coupes and cake stands. So pretty!
Shells of Southie– Local to Boston, Shells of Southie makes super pretty decoupaged shells that can be used as a ring or jewelery dish or catchcall. I am also loving the idea of using her holiday shells as part of a tablescape as well.
Kyra Wells– Kyra is a Cape Cod native who creates the amazing New England inspired watercolors. One of her prints would make an amazing gift for any coastal loving friends.
For The Kids-
MerriMane Kids– MerriMane makes the absolute BEST kids outerwear. I love the bomber jacket (seen above!) and vest I have for Nicholas and know I’ll be passing these down to Peter. The pieces for girls are so adorable with such sweet details. A piece from MerriMane would be a fantastic gift that the parents would absolutely love. (You can read more about the brand here!)
Joy Street Kids-These super soft jammies make an adorable gift for kids. We have the Boston print, but am eyeing the Nantucket print for gifts and the North Pole print for holiday jammies.
I’m excited to shop small this holiday season and I hope this post gives you some ideas for new small businesses and brands to shop with as well! Happy Shopping!
xoxo, Jenna
