Happy Friday! If you are a fellow parent in Massachusetts, we’ve just about made it through February vacation week and a week of no school! We headed down to the Cape for a few days for a change of scenery and it was a great way to break up the week. These are a few of the things I’m loving this week 🙂
The Maid– I read this book in two days last weekend and was totally sucked in! The Maid is about Molly, a maid at a luxury hotel who finds a very important guest dead in his hotel room as she cleans it. Molly is a bit quirky and not necessarily great at social cues and she ends up becoming a suspect in the murder case. The book is a mystery to find out who did it, but is also a heartwarming read as Molly makes some real friendships while she tries to solve the case. Highly recommend this book!
Truffle Cosmetic Cases– Our mini trip to the Cape was my first “get away” since Christmas when I got the navy Truffle cosmetic cases as a gift so I was able to give them a try. They are definitely a splurge, but such a nice way to pack up your skincare and beauty goodies for trips. I am looking forward to giving them an air travel try when we fly in April!
Target Crochet Sweater– My friend Kate of Domestikated Life shared this spring sweater on Instagram last week and I could not resist ordering! I ordered the lilac color and it is a great spring layer- spring colors, but warm enough for New England “spring”. Also comes in a neutral and a lime green.
Cape Cod Children’s Museum– Not necessarily a thing, but like I mentioned I took the boys down to the Cape for a few days to Gigi and G-Pa’s house and we visited the Cape Cod Children’s Museum for the first time. They absolutely loved it! With a train area, a submarine, a boat they could climb on, magnetic fishing poles, there were so many engaging things for them to do! I know many of you may also visit the area so wanted to share as you should absolutely add it to your Cape list if you have younger children.
Wonderbly Books– Nicholas and Peter have been obsessed with their Wonderbly books they recently received as presents- I think we have read the Nicholas-A-Saurus (an awesome book for dino lovers!) and the P is for Peter book 100 times! I know it can be hard to come up with good gift ideas for kids- these books are personalized with a child’s name making them an awesome gift idea and as evidenced by my kids, they are well loved!
Hope you had a great week!
xoxo, Jenna
