Friday Five- June 10, 2022

Happy Friday, friends! Been MIA for a few weeks on these posts- oops! But I’m back and have a few fun finds that I’m excited to share with you. As I’m writing this, it is a very rainy morning (Thursday), but we have been enjoying the nice summer like weather recently and spending lots of time in the pool. I am getting equal parts excited for summer break (Nicholas’ last day of school is next week) and a little nervous about entertaining both kids all day ;). We do have some camp plans for Nicholas so hopefully it is a good mix of some organized stuff and spontaneity!

Here are a few of my favorite things from the week!

Lilly Pulitzer Colette Skort- I got my first Lilly skort a few summers back- more of an activewear type- and I wear it a ton in the summer with the kids. I honestly prefer skirts or dresses to shorts and skorts are the best because can easily wear when bending over and picking up kids. I bought this one when shopping over Memorial Day weekend and I know I’ll be wearing it all summer. I got navy, but debating buying a second one in white.

Selma Blair’s Mean Baby– I started listening to Selma Blair’s autobiography last week and I’ve been so engrossed in it. I love listening to celebrity memoirs like this and while I haven’t finished yet, I’d recommend this one!

Tory Burch Rope Flat Slides– I was lucky to have the chance to pick out a gifted pair of Tory Burch sandals through a campaign with Shop Style (the platform I use to create affliate links like the one in this email!). I knew I wanted a pair of slides and when I saw these rope flat slides in store I could not resist. While any of Tory’s logo sandals are classics too, I thought this pair was so beautiful and unique with the raffia and rope details.

Old Navy Exercise Dress– Similar to the skort, I’ve been eyeing an exercise dress as a mom friendly summer option. As someone with a larger chest I wasn’t really into the ones that have thinner straps, so I was excited to see this version at Old Navy. I rarely shop there except for some kid basics, but this dress was too good to pass up! I did get a size larger than I normally do and while the smaller size fit, I felt a bit more comfortable in the mid-section in the size up.

Faccia Brutta– MJD and I snuck out for a date night this week and tried the latest Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette spot on Newbury Street, Faccia Brutta. We are huge fans of their other restaurants and this one did not disappoint! The food is coastal Italian with influence from Sicily and everything we had was delicious! Add this to your list of spots to try soon 🙂

xoxo, Jenna
