Friday Five- June 24, 2022 – Boston Chic Party

Friday Five- June 24, 2022

First full week of summer break is in the books! This week was one of our busier ones for summer because Nicholas had camp all morning, so it actually went by kind of quickly. We are definitely a bit more in summer mode with outside activities right up until dinner and having easy dinners so we can maximize playing time 🙂 I’m excited to head back down the Cape this weekend to celebrate one of my closest friend’s weddings- going to be so fun!

Ulla Johnson Lulua Mini Dress– You may have seen on Instagram, but I had an awesome visit recently to the Gretta Luxe store and got to pick out some beautiful summer pieces. Gretta Luxe is a fabulous female owned business located in the Boston area and Gretta and her team fill their store with the most amazing designer pieces that have been curated to be worn in every day life. This Ulla Johnson dress was a favorite of all the items I tried on and I can’t wait to wear it for a date night soon! Can also be found at this retailer if sold out at Gretta Luxe!

Cover Story by Susan Rigetti- I hosted book club this week and the book I had picked for it was Cover Story. This book sucked me in so quickly and the ending was amazing! The book follows Lora, an aspiring writer and NYU student who meets Cat Wolff, a heiress living at The Plaza during her internship at Elle. When Lora shares her financial struggles and school concerns with Cat, the heiress suggests working for her as her ghost writer. The novel is told through Lora’s diary entries, FBI e-mails and chats (because this heiress isn’t what she seems), letters, Instagram posts and more- I feel like the style of writing also made it fly by even more. If you liked the show Inventing Anna, you should add this book to your list!

Feather and Finn Citronella Patio Candle Bundle– My friend Kate of Domestikated Life launched a new collaboration with local, female owned, non-toxic candle company, Feather and Finn to create some beautiful smelling and looking citronella candles. I love being outside and hosting outside in the summer so finding some pretty citronella options was actually on my list when I saw these launch and I couldn’t resist! You can read more about what makes Feather and Finn’s candles non-toxic here.

Joy Street Kids USA Tee– Fourth of July is SO soon (how?!) and I just got these adorable USA print shirts for my boys. I’m planning to have them wear them for the Fourth of July Parade.

Target Sun Squad Fourth of July Wagon Cover– Speaking of Fourth of July parade, I spotted this wagon cover while in Target this week and had to buy it. I think it will be a good starting point for parade decorating our wagon!

Hope your summer has been off to a great start!

xoxo, Jenna
