Blue Lace and Pastel Pink

Top: Endless Rose c/o Purple Poppy Tank: c/o Purple Poppy Jeans: Loft Purse: Kate Spade Shoes: Ann Taylor Earrings: BaubleBar Sunglasses: Madewell Lips: Nars in Chihuahua

Guys, how pretty is this top? From the color to the lace pattern to the scalloped hem of the sleeves, there’s no better word to describe it. It’s super feminine so it only felt appropriate to accessorize with some pastel blush pink.  This top is from an adorable boutique, Purple Poppy which is located down the Cape in Mashpee- perfect for us Boston girls who are about to be heading down for summer weekends! Of course you can also shop their selection online – and get 10% off using code Poppy 🙂

We snapped these photos as my mom and I headed out for the night in Kennebunkport  (thanks Mom!) during our early Mother’s Day celebrations. Lark Hotels hosted us and a few other blogger ladies for the weekend and one morning over the delish breakfast spread at Captain Fairfield Inn, we got to talking about the future of blogging. It was super interesting to talk about this with so many women blogger and influencers I admire- like Ali, Bridget, Gabby and Laura. We all agreed we think people love getting quick and in the moment access which is why Instagram is so successful. With the launch of Instagram stories, I really feel like video is one direction blogging can go in. I know I have a lot of fun watching my favorite bloggers’ stories and I have fun making my own because it feels just a little less pressured than having to post the perfect photo for your insta feed.  On the other hand, I love writing so hoping the written word isn’t lost forever 🙂

With that being said, our guesses are just guesses and it’s up to you and what you like! So I’d love your thoughts- what do you think is next for the world of blogging? Do you like following along on insta-stories? Are there certain topics you want me to post about more? Would love to hear from you!

xoxo, Jenna

I adore this top, too cute! I definitely think video is the future (although I too love writing so hopefully not the only future). Stories are a favorite of mine too for the reason you mentioned– brings the “insta” part back and is less curated.
